We feel so lucky Claire was a part of our daughter’s birth. We booked Claire as our birth photographer and to encapsulate my placenta, but we also enjoyed all the benefits of her huge experience as a doula. Claire was integral to us having the unassisted home birth we wanted.

 

As a photographer, Claire was very respectful of our space, while capturing the most intimate and beautiful moments of our daughter’s arrival and her first few hours in the world. The photos are exactly what we wanted - raw, joyful and powerful!

 

Claire and I discussed encapsulation options when we met during my pregnancy, and she was super efficient in getting the capsules to me postpartum. They have given me a big boost in my recovery, and were beautifully packaged (which felt like a real treat among the chaos of a toddler and a newborn). Claire also included an unexpected piece of cord art, and I’m so glad she did. It’s not something I’d thought about but it’s now proudly displayed in my daughter’s nursery.

 

During my pregnancy, my partner and I decided on an unassisted home birth/free birth. Claire signposted us to invaluable information to help us make informed decisions every step of the way. Throughout labour, Claire was a reassuring presence (on text and in person), gently offering advice and encouragement. My partner was particularly grateful for her suggestions and her mirror!

 

We can’t recommend Claire enough for birth photography and placenta encapsulation. And from the support she has given us during pregnancy, labour and postpartum, I would have no hesitations in recommending her as a doula too - I’d almost consider having another baby just so we could work with her again!

We hired Claire to encapsulate my placenta and to also make a tincture, our birth Doula and also came with that was her beautiful birth photography skills that we will be forever grateful for!

The placenta capsules and tincture came beautifully packaged and also with a gorgeous placenta print and cord work. I felt they really aided a quicker recovery, helped with my energy and general wellbeing post birth. The tincture doesn’t expire and is able to be used for so many other useful benefits. Claire’s knowledge on placentas is just incredible, she has made me fall in love with them.

I would also recommend having her as your birth photographer, the pictures she captured for us on the day are just beautiful and something we will cherish forever. You’d honestly never know pictures were being taken she is like a ninja!

And if you are looking for a doula, Claire is your one! So supportive during pregnancy, the birth and post birth! A birthing fairy godmother! We had a gorgeous home water birth and it was our first baby. Our birth experience wouldn’t have been so positive and calm if it wasn’t for her. She just knew the best way to support me and my husband during the whole process and has always checked in on us afterwards. I will not hesitate to want Claire there for our 2nd!!
